NaruSaku not being canon is something I’ve questioned myself as well, but alas. It is what it is.
Them not being canon and Sakura being super underutilized as a heroine are some of the biggest issues with the OG story. It’s truly a shame, really.
However, like I said, it is what it is at the end of the day and this is why we have fanon.
